Artist Statement

Glass, both warm and hot, has been my medium of choice for the past fifteen years.

Glass fusing is a process in which the piece is assembled cold, using a variety of techniques.  After multiple firings, the piece is then cold worked by cutting, grinding and polishing.  Patterns excite me.  My inspiration comes from nature, fabric, architecture, etc., etc.

My latest body of work involves pulling cane in the hot shop, cutting it into murrini and incorporating it into my designs.
